HOPE
“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.” Heb. 10:23
Hope is powerful. It’s what keeps us going when the circumstances tell us that we should give up. It’s what sustains us when we feel the weight of the world pressing down on us. It can be difficult to see hope, but it’s obvious when hope is present.
Advent is a time to reflect on those times when hope seems… distant. The Christmas story of the birth of Jesus comes during a long period of silence. The people of God were waiting for the next step; it had been hundreds of years since they heard the voice of God.
This season of Advent invites us to enter into the longing, into the waiting, and into the hope of a light that is soon coming. So, we hold tightly on to this hope because God keeps His promises. Hope is rising like the morning sun.
The world is waiting; hope is coming
